Born and raised in Jacksonville Florida Khiry Jamal Bivins better known as Sk8tie started at the age of 15 introduced to the music world by his blood brother Rashad Bivins by Rashad Bivins showing him the ropes and letting Sk8tie observe and tag along everywhere he goes or do with other major artists in the city Sk8tie is slowly understanding the music business day by day. By his brother being the strong mentor he needed Sk8tie decided to set off on his own path.
